We are looking for a compassionate, Hospice Nurse RN (Registered Nurse) for our Float Pool team in the Big Rapids area.

Shift: Days, Contingent (schedule hours based on your availability)

Job Summary:
The Contingent, Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool position provides professional nursing services or supervises the provision of nursing services to hospice patients in accordance with accepted standards of practice and Hospice of Michigan (HOM) guidelines. Performs advocacy and oversight of hospice services based on patient self-determination to assure patient and family/caregiver satisfaction. RNs may perform nursing services in a variety of care settings and/or roles, including but not limited to case management, admissions or on-call. Float RN's must be willing to work varied hours.


Must-haves:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with possession of a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of Michigan
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of varied nursing experience required; hospice experience preferred
  • Skilled in nursing practice with a demonstrated ability to assess and respond to the needs of patients and families
  • Must possess sound judgment and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills

All-Star Qualifications:

  • RN with 2 years nursing experience in acute care setting or rehab setting is needed in this role. Hospice or Home Care experience is highly preferred
  • Driven individual ready to work in a fast-paced environment
