MI Bioresearch is seeking a Director, Business Development (based in the Greater Boston Area) to join its growing team. This is a remote position that will require occasional travel to MI headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To sell MI Bioresearchs services to Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology customers in the assigned territory in such a way that relationships are developed which ensure achievement of individual sales target and repeat business. Develop and maintain a well-rounded understanding of the services being offered. Since this position requires significant interface with potential clients there is a requirement to be personable, proficient in written and verbal communication, exhibit confidence and handle a fast-paced work environment. In addition, the incumbent must be a self-starter, highly organized, able to meet tight deadlines, thrive in a target driven environment, have a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and enjoy working with clients in a high science environment. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Have an always be closing attitude to ensure sales targets are achieved in each business cycle. Regular travel throughout the territory to meet with prospects and clients face-to-face to promote services. Timely, accurate and credible communication with clients to support customer capture and repeat business. Function mindfully of all company departments and foster close ties with Scientific Development and Operations departments to meet client needs. Recording of account and sales activities in Salesforce.com based on company process. Develop account plans and provide regular updates to support the achievement of Sales targets. Identify potential new clients and develop strategies to present MI Bioresearch capabilities. Gain full understanding of client needs and develop proposals and presentations that demonstrate MI Bioresearchs competitive advantage. Provide client and competitive intelligence to management to develop new service offerings. Maintain and grow a network of decision makers within target accounts. Participate in industry trade shows and conferences and project a professional image of MI Bioresearch. Develop industry knowledge and maintain awareness of industry trends. Perform other duties as assigned by management to meet business need Qualifications B.A., B.Sc., M.B.A. preferably in life science. Minimum 5 years experience in laboratory or pharmaceutical industry. Minimum 5 years experience in sales (preferably in the pharmaceutical or laboratory industry). Other skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical skills required. Highly developed negotiation skills. Flexible and quick thinking and decision making skills. Excellent communication and listening skills. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software and Salesforce.com. Join Us Today!
